Rene has deep roots in the pet care industry, with more than 25 years dedicated to growing and elevating grooming and boarding services throughout Burbank and Glendale. His journey began at Kenneth Village in Glendale, where he launched Pet Rush, a boutique pet shop that quickly became a trusted destination for both local families and well-known clients. Pet Rush earned recognition from the City of Glendale as the community’s first Rescue-Only pet store and was celebrated nationwide by organizations like Best Friends Animal Society and the Humane Society of the United States for championing animal welfare.

As pet ownership expanded, so did Rene’s vision. In 2007, he opened Glendale Pet Resort, his first dog and cat daycare and boarding center, designed to offer comfort, safety, and exceptional care. By 2012, he introduced Pet Rush Inn in Burbank, a fully renovated 7,000 sq. ft. facility offering overnight boarding, daycare, training, and grooming. The upgraded space included new climate-controlled suites, enhanced surveillance, and a larger play area. Pet Rush Inn went on to be recognized as Burbank’s Best for two consecutive years and consistently maintains 5-star ratings on Yelp.

Once Pet Rush Inn was thriving with a loyal clientele, Rene embraced his next opportunity: acquiring Double Dog Dare Ya, an established pet resort in Burbank. He immediately infused the same high standards, compassion, and operational excellence that define his brand. Today, Double Dog Dare Ya proudly stands as the newest member of Rene’s family of pet care facilities.

Continuing this momentum, Rene is preparing to launch his newest venture - Silver Saddle Stables, scheduled to open in mid-2026. This new location will further expand his commitment to providing exceptional environments where pets and community can play, relax, and thrive.
